Mental Health Support Specialist

Part-time, variable scheduled position provides support to children, youth and families in a variety of settings including home, school and community. Provides 1:1 behavior coaching in home, school or community settings and provides referral and linkage to community resources, parent education and support as directed. Requires Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, child development or a related field, 2 years' of work experience with children, youth and families. Associate of Arts degree in one of the listed fields and 4 years of work experience will be considered. Varied scheduling to include weekends, evenings and early mornings at a variety of locations throughout Humboldt County. Starts at $18.00 an hour with mileage reimbursement. Processing Specialist

Full-time, benefited position calculates child care reimbursements, generates reports, completes weekly projects, accurately maintains provider file documentation including TrustLine applications. Will process family fee billings and payments, review child care daily attendance sheets for appropriate signatures and coded for the appropriate program, assists in compiling data and determines appropriate monthly fees billed according to program type, type of care, schedule, age of child and number of family members. Will monitor parent's compliance with family fee agreements and generates monthly invoices to all enrolled parents. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and skills required for this position is some college level coursework in accounting and two years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting. Other requirements include, ability to use a calculator or keyboard pad at 80 strokes per minute and see and hear within normal ranges with or without correction. Must be able to pass a criminal background check. Bilingual Child Care Case Manager

Full-time, benefited position interviewing and explaining policy and program guidelines to Spanish speaking clients and providers according to program guidelines and agency policy. Will maintain and re-certify a caseload of eligible families, provides timely and accurate records to ensure issue of Certificates for Payment or Authorized Child Care Schedules, will maintain and apply knowledge of the regional market rates and analyzes family income to ensure families subject to family fee are chard accurately. will enter in client information in computer system and prepares and accurately maintains a variety of complex reports and records related to program requirements. Will assist families navigate the child care options, reviews child care payment vouchers to compare with authorized child care schedules, provides child care referrals and will implement Trustline process for CalWORKS participants. A typical was to obtain the knowledge and skills required would be two years of college-level course work in accounting or social services and two years experience which has involved the application and explanation of rules an regulations to the public. Varied scheduling to include weekends, evenings, and early mornings at a variety of locations throughout Humboldt County. Starts at $15.99/hr and not eligible for the bilingual stipend. Skills Specialist

This intermittent position provides behavioral and support services to children and adults who have developmental disabilities; uses intervention strategies that reflect evidence based practices to increase developmentally appropriate skills as overseen by a behavioral consultant; as assigned, performs personal attendant duties; performs related work as assigned.  Work is generally performed within the focus individual’s residence or (as approved) in community settings.  Starts at $14.25/hour plus mileage reimbursement.
