Early Education Supervisor II

Full-time, benefited position in the Early Learning and Care Division performing a variety of activities with child care provider and parents participating in the Early Head Start- Child Care Partnership (EHS-CCP) and Family Child Care Home Education Network (FCCHEN) program to support the healthy growth, education and development of children under age 4 and to meet EHS-CCP standards. Provides direct supervision and training to staff, maintains a variety of documentation and ensures providers' familiarity with EHS-CCP program requirements, expectations and procedures. Requirements for this position include; Minimum of a BA degree in Child Development, Human Development or a closely- related field with at least 12 units of Early Childhood Education (ECE) and an additional 3 units of ECE administration; Current Site Supervisor permit or higher on the Title V Child Development Matrix or ability to obtain a Site Supervisor Permit within a year; Minimum of 2 years direct experience in child care settings working with infants, toddlers and children under age 4; Proof of current immunizations, tuberculosis clearance and health screening/physical as required by the California Department of Education Early Head Start- Child Care Program. Early Head Start or Head Start experience is highly desirable. Possible varied scheduling to includes some weekends, evenings and early mornings at a variety of locations throughout Humboldt County. Child Care Case Manager

Full-time, benefited position interviewing and explaining policy and program guidelines to clients and providers according to program guidelines and agency policy. Will maintain and re-certify a caseload of eligible families, provides timely and accurate record to ensure issue of Certificates for Payment or Authorized Child Care Schedules, will maintain and apply knowledge of the regional market rates and analyzes family income to ensure families subject to family fee are charged accurately. Will enter in client information in computer system and prepares and accurately maintains a variety of complex reports and records related to program requirements. Will assist families navigate the child care options, reviews child care payment vouchers to compare with authorized child care schedules, provides child care referrals and will implement Trustline process fo CalWORKS participants. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and skills required would be two years of college-level course work in accounting or social services and two years of experience which has involved the application and explanation of rules and regulations to the public. Possible varied scheduling to include weekends, evenings and early mornings at a variety of locations throughout Humboldt County. Starts at $15.71/hr. Respite Worker

Skills Specialist

This intermittent position provides behavioral and support services to children and adults who have developmental disabilities; uses intervention strategies that reflect evidence based practices to increase developmentally appropriate skills as overseen by a behavioral consultant; as assigned, performs personal attendant duties; performs related work as assigned.  Work is generally performed within the focus individual’s residence or (as approved) in community settings.  Starts at $15.42/hour plus mileage reimbursement.
