Child Care Food Program

The Child Care Food Program is a service that partially or fully reimburses meals served in participating licensed family child care homes.

For Parents: When selecting a child care provider, be sure to ask if the provider participates in the Child Care Food Program. Providers who do so, provide nutritious meals or snacks at no additional expense to the parent. These homes are monitored for compliance with federal standards.

For Providers: The Child Care Food Program can provide valuable additional income to you, while at the same time enhancing the nutrition of children in your care. To learn more, call (707) 444-8293.

We are excited to release a video all about the Child Care Food Program in Humboldt County! The video was created by Changing Tides Family Services with the participation of local family child care providers and a local parent! Check it out here!
